Word From The Father
A father had two sons who loved him. One loved him but always disobeyed him secretly without his knowledge. The other one always held on to the word of his father. One day, the father bought two pieces of land and gave it to his sons to help him in building two houses. He gave them plan and everything needed to build four-bedroom house with garden. He had his own motive for doing this, but his sons weren’t aware of it. The senior one went ahead, hired labourers to start the work on the land. They dug the ground, laid the foundation and the entire layout according to the plan given to him by his father. But he failed to supervise the work. A year later, the house hasn’t gone beyond the foundation and his money was fast spent. The second son hired some labourers and commenced the work on the land. They dug the ground, laid the foundation and the entire layout according to the plan given to him by his father. A year later, their father asked them to give him the report of their work. The first son came forward and told him the house wasn’t finished and his money was fast gone. His father told him not to worry. The second one came forward and told him the house was completed and everything was done according to the plan given to him. The Father then told both of them that the house belonged to each of them. They were amazed at their father’s decision. The second son was very happy, and he thanked his father. The first son couldn’t say a word because he knew what he did. I Am the Almighty God. I Am the Great I Am That I Am. I Am the Great Judge. My Reward I will give to those who obey Me diligently.
I Am a Father and I have many sons and daughters. Whatever belongs to A, I will not give it to B, and whatever belongs to B, I will not give it to A. I reward everyone according to his work. If you obey Me, you obey yourself. If you also disobey Me, you also disobey yourself. Whatever you do to Me, you do it to yourself. There’s nothing any of you can give to Me. Everything I ask you to do is for your own good not Mine. If I tell you to wash your hand before you eat your food, Am I the One going to eat the food? If you eat your food with dirty hand and your stomach begins to pain you, what’s My problem in that? But if your stomach begins to pain you, you’ll cry out to Me. This is then My problem! As all of you are crying every day, disturbing My throne and My peace, I’m troubled. All of you are like a child that says the mother will not sleep, both he and the mother won’t sleep. I Am a Compassionate Father and I feel your pains whenever you’re crying. This is why I always stress on obedience.
If you sit down where I asked you to sit down, if you do what I asked you to do, if you remain in your territory without crossing your boundary, no harm will befall you. Even Satan knows this, and he cannot do anything to you because he knows you’re on the right side. But he wants you to leave your territory so that his hand can touch you. This is why he always lure all of you with his goodies. And if you take anything from him, he’ll give you another one because he knows what he’s doing. He wants your hands to be full so that he can strike you. Hence your hands are full, it will be very difficult for you to drop everything at once. This is his strategy but none of you knows this. Until you learn to live in obedience, until you learn to live within your territory, he will keep afflicting you. Both of you live on this Earth together and everyone must hold his own ground.
Everything the Father gives to His children has one clause attached to it – “if”. Both good and evil carries this clause. If you read through the Book of Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28, you’ll see everything clearly. As a father, if you laboured very well and built an estate, you know how you worked to get everything you put in that house. As your children come to live inside, they have no clue how much money, hard work and time you invested in building that estate. They only come and enjoy what they didn’t labour for. These are the children of the Father.
The Bible says in the Book of Deuteronomy 28:1-2 and 15 that, “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God. But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you.”
If you diligently obey…
There is no half obedience! It’s either we obey or disobey. And until we fully obey the Word of the Father, we cannot receive anything from Him. Whenever we say a prayer to the Father, before He answers, somebody who lives with us here will first lure us to receive a counterfeit from him. Therefore, if you look at the aftermath of each blessing, the calamity that follows, it’s glaring that the Father isn’t the giver of such blessing. Though, whatever the Father gave to us, Satan always wants to corrupt it so that we cannot enjoy it. But if we know the God we serve, if we’re fully equipped with His Word, no sorrow will contaminate our blessings. This is why the Father always takes His time before He gives us anything. He’ll make sure He cut off every hand of evil before giving us so that we can enjoy it and have peace.
Beloved, there is a reward for obedience and also a reward for disobedience. Whichever one we choose to do, the reward is awaiting us, not only in Heaven, first on this Earth. If we sow the seed of righteousness, we’ll reap the fruits of righteousness. If we sow the seed of unrighteousness, we’ll also reap the fruits of unrighteousness. Whatever we choose to do, the reward is awaiting us. One thing I’m confidence about is that, the Father who knows and sees all things will by no means rob Peter for Paul or vice versa. He will surely reward individual for whatever he does. Jesus Christ declared in the Book of Revelation 22:12 that, “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work.” I pray for you today that Holy Spirit will plant that precious seed of obedience in your heart in Jesus name. Amen!
