The fact that your life is crumbled doesn’t mean that’s the end of it. You shouldn’t allow that to shape your future. If you dwell on the past, you cannot move forward to your future. Ho many mistakes have I made? How many times have I failed? But now I can encourage others. This is life! You cannot dwell on the past and move forward to the future.
A man woke up in the morning happily and set out on a journey. When he got back home in the evening, he’s lost one of his legs. But he’ll continue to live, isn’t it? This is how life is. Though what happened to us in the past might have taken something tangible away from us, yet, if we lean on the One who owns all things rather than leaning on our past, we’ll make something good out of our crumbled life.
The Father declared in the Book of Jeremiah 32:27 that, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” Absolutely nothing is hard for the Almighty to do. He is the Creator of every good and perfect gift. He is the Creator of good and evil. He is the Creator of light and darkness. Everything is at His disposal. If we’re with Him, he allows us to enjoy the goodness of life. If we turn away from Him, He chastises us with other side of life. The Bible says in the Book of I Corinthians 10:13 that, “No temptation has overtaken you, but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.”
Therefore, my beloved, allow not the past to shape your future. As long we have the Father and the Son, then we have hope even beyond the grave. Let us move forward by the grace given to us by the Father through His Son. In patience and endurance, we’ll eat our bread peacefully, the bread of peace that comes from the Father Himself. Through this, we’ll be able to look back and give thanks to the Father how far He has brought us. Blessed be His Holy name.
